Vale - Phil Younger

We record with great sadness the sudden death of Phil Younger on Saturday 17 December 2011.
He and Sue were on their way to the annual Society Christmas Party, along with Gavin and Karen Hogg, when Phil suffered a severe heart attack. Phil was a long time member of the Society. Not only the possessor of a good tenor voice, but also a knowledge of engineering and construction, which made him an able person to have around during scenery construction. I would have no hesitation in saying that I speak for all the members of the Society in expressing our deep sorrow at the loss of a good friend and supporter. Our condolences to Sue, and sister Jenny, and their families.

Phil's funeral was held on Thursday 22 December 2011. Martin Wright, in his capacity as a minister, conducted the service.
