In 2003 Hardie Grant Books published my fully illustrated autobiography Chapters and Chances, essentially the record and examination of a professional life spanning more than fifty years as a performer, author, designer and director in the Australian theatre. My involvement in the theatre scene of this country has coincided with periods of radical change both social and attitudinal and it´s therefore been my good luck and great privilege to have had ongoing involvement in projects that have made a difference in this country: to have played my part in reshaping the landscape of modern Australian community.

As an artist in Gilbert and Sullivan, Reg Livermore has played, for Opera Australia the Lord Chancellor in Iolanthe, Duke of Plaza-Toro in The Gondoliers, Major-General Stanley in The Pirates of Penzance. In addition, Reg played the part of Henry Higgins in the 2008 Opera Australia production of My Fair Lady.
