mikado1_small In 1885 a craze for things Japanese hit London, and Gilbert, looking for a new plot for his next collaboration with Sullivan, was inspired. The result was The Mikado, the most successful of all the Gilbert and Sullivan operas. Containing some of their best-known numbers such as The Mikado’s song and “Three little maids from school,” and memorable characters such as Yum-Yum and Pooh Bah, not to mention the Mikado himself, this promises to be an enthralling finish to the theatrical year. We present this all-time favourite in a new production by Diana Burleigh. Book your tickets today.
